Regrettable Rides: Free Parking

This vehicle has a few regrettable aspects in and of itself, none of which completely seals the deal. Sure, there's the sad colour, the mismatched wheel covers (from different decades, none the less), and the strange and unidentifiable oversized hood ornament (see the closeup below). All of these things are certainly unfortunate, but they don't add up to a truly regrettable ride. What pushes this one over the top is the location. Because yes, as you can plainly see, is that it's sitting on top of a shipping container. What's not so plain, until you look at the corrugated metal under the container, is that the container is sitting on a roof. The question here isn't so much how do you get a 3500 pound car onto a 20x10 steel box on a roof, it's why do you put said car unto said container on said roof? The how can be explained by ramps and/or cranes, by the why we may never know.

And we can't go ask the owner, because our dear friend Jennie took this picture in Trachoni, Cyprus. So unless you are in Cyprus, and presumably speak Greek, you're out of luck for an explanation.

As promised, the closeup on the hood ornament. Seriously, what is that? A giant Hershey kiss? The Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz?
