This week I'm a bit late due to the whole Netscape thing. I think I have
it fixed, but we're not sure. As usual, if anyone has any suggestions
for themes, or links, or whatever, e-mail me or better yet, hit the forum.
Song of the Week: Something a bit quirky that I've
been listening to lately is "I Love My Boss" by Moxy
Fruvous. It's catchy and silly, and is noteworthy for using the basic
tune of "Brazil" which is why it will sound familiar. Go download
it for a smile. It's best appreciated if you don't like your boss. I should
point out that I like my boss, and even suggested he should download this
song himself.
Link of the Week: A great source of information about
upcoming movies and TV stuff can be found at Dark
Horizons, with particular emphasis on science fiction stuff. I visit
there pretty much every day to keep my information ahead of everyone else.
That's only one of my secrets of staying well informed.
Fun Fact of the Week: The specific gravity of gold
is 19.3 grams per cubit centimetre. Okay, so it's not a particularly fun
fact, but it's something that's been stuck in my head for as long as I
can remember, and I wanted to share it. If you're wondering, water has
a specific gravity of 1 gram per cubic centimetre. Yes, gold is heavy.
Movie of the Week: In a departure from
my usual schema, I'm promoting a movie that I don't have on DVD, primarily
because it's not yet available on DVD. The movie is UHF. It stars
Weird Al Yankovic, but don't get scared away because of that. This movie
is hilarious, one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Perhaps not everyone
will appreciate Weird Al's humour, but I should point out that this movie
features Michael Richards, who you may know better as Cosmo Kramer from
Seinfeld. The movie will hopefully come out on DVD in the near
future, but in the mean time, check it out on VHS. |
