This Week At IDC — April 29, 2001

by Marko Peric

Song of the Week: After happening to hear it last week on the satellite dish at work (gotta love commercial-free satellite audio channels) I decided to make Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers" the song of the week. The lyrics are complex, the music, well, unique. Go download it now.

Link of the Week: They need promotion like the world needs more boy-bands, but I would be remiss to not link to the Internet Movie Database (aka IMDb). The biggest and best movie and television info site on the net. You want to know how many movies John Wayne was in? This is where to find out.

Quote of the Week: "Don't burn your bridges; instead, blow them up. It will look so much cooler if there's ever a movie made about of your life." — Marko Peric. Yes, I said that. I admit it. Feel free to quote me.

DVD of the Week: I have to plug the X-Men DVD this week. Well, I don't have to, but I'm going to. Apart from the fact that the movie is very enjoyable and very cool, the disc is very well done. Nice menus, a branching version that lets you see some alternate takes, and a couple of hidden deleted scenes, one of which is hilarious.

The Poll of the Week is changing to the Poll of the Month. So I got lazy and decided that too many polls was too much work. Deal with it.
