This Week At IDC — April 22, 2001

by Marko Peric

Song of the Week: In a rerun of my first "song to napst" from my old site, I'm advising you to run out and get "Curious" by Sandbox. You've likely never heard of Sandbox, although they did open for The Smashing Pumpkins a few years ago. They do a fairly straight forward brand of rock and roll. Upbeat and catchy, with a touch of melancholy. And a guy I used to work with went to school with one of the band members.

Link of the Week: One of my favourite sites is The Brunching Shuttlecocks. Hands down it's one of the best online humour magazines. They have a new feature usually every day or two. I make it a point to visit them once a day.

Quote of the Week: "A man with no talent can easily amuse idiots with a stupid puppet show." — from the song "Three Little Pigs" by Green Jelly. No, I'm not going to even try to explain that quote.

DVD of the Week: This week Mission Impossible II gets the nod. Not only is the movie very cool (of course, in my books anything directed by John Woo is very cool) but the disc has some sweet extra features including a number of stunt walkthroughs and an amusing bit with Woo, Tom Cruise, and Ben Stiller.
